Description:

Yellow to brown-yellow clear liquid.

Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. the bacteriostatic effect is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of bacterial proteins.

Indications:

To treat infectious diseases caused by gram positive and gram negative bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in cases of respiratory, intestinal, dermatological genitourinary and septicemic infections in equine, cattle, sheep, goat, swine and dog.

Dosage And Administration:

The dose of the activeprinciple oxytetracycline amounts to 10mg/kg bodyweight of the

animal.Administer for 3-5 days depending on the type and severity of the infection.The administration iscarried out in the following volume:

Cattle,Horse,Sheep and goats:1ml/kg bodyweight

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.

Administration to animals with a serious impaired renal and/or liver function.

Concurrent administration with penicillins, cephalosporines, quinolones and cycloserine.

Side Effects:

After intramuscular administration local reactions can occur, which disappear in a few days.Discoloration of teeth in young animals.Hypersensitivity reactions.

Withdrawal Time:

Meat: 28 days; milk 7 days.
