It is clinically suitable for gastrointestinal dysfunction such as anorexia and abdominal distension in pigs, sheep, cattle, horses and dogs, as well as intestinal and toxic liver function damage and liver malnutrition.

The team of Southwest University took more than 6 years to jointly tackle key problems and signed 11 scientific and technological projects related to monbudone, of which Dr. Rory presided over 8. It organized multi-disciplinary members to overcome the foreign barriers to key technologies such as the synthesis and preparation of monbudone raw materials, and obtained 6 invention patents from chemical synthesis to preparation process, quality standards and residue detection methods, the "patent enclosure movement" of new veterinary drug research and development has been realized, and the independent intellectual property rights have been protected.

The head of Southwest University said that in the past 10 years, monbudone is the second type of new veterinary drug with chemical raw materials and preparations approved by universities under the approval of the first type of new veterinary drug without chemical drugs. It is also the new veterinary drug certificate and the new veterinary drug national standard signed by Southwest University, which marks a new major breakthrough in the creation of new veterinary drugs.

And so far, there is no animal choleretic drug category in China. The approval of monbudone and its preparations will fill the gap of this kind of veterinary drugs in China, open up new fields of animal digestive system drugs, improve the level of veterinary drugs, reduce the use and residues, and reduce the huge economic losses caused by animal growth and development obstruction, production performance decline and even death in the process of breeding. With the industrialization of monbudone and its preparations, it is expected to produce better economic, social and ecological benefits in the field of aquaculture.
